Owner and founder, Tony LaVerghetta, is a nationally known professional Numismatist. He began buying and selling coins as a young man in 1976.
This would later become his full time career. After completing an internship with a well known coin firm, he decided to hang out his own shingle at the brick and mortar known as Drexel Hill Rare Coin. In addition to minding the shop, Tony can often be found at local and regional trade shows as well as major conventions. Tony’s credentials include a lifetime membership in the American Numismatic Association as well as affiliations with NGC and PCGS grading companies. Locally Tony has served as president and vice president of the West Chester Coin Club which he is still a member of and attends several meetings a year. His commitment to the hobby shows through his willingness to educate and encourage collectors of all ages. He also believes in keeping sellers as well as buyers informed with all the latest pricing information to give the best value. Tony is also licensed by the County of Delaware to buy and sell precious metals.
