It has the distinction of being the oldest continuously running pawn broker West of the Mississippi. It has changed hands from various owners, until it was purchased by Sam Siskin in the early 60’s and has been in his capable hands ever since. The shop is truely a family affair, with Sam’s daughter and son-in-law on hand to help those with any immediate financial needs.

The original building was located at 6th and K Street until redevlopment moved them to 8th Street between J and K. That building has since been torn down and replaced with a modern high rise. Their current location at 1027 10th St. Ste 100, is not far from the old location. Now in a nice newer building, located near the historic Crest Theater, it has not lost its charm or friendly atmosphere.
